A Satisfying Lunch with Premium Pork Cutlet at 平田牧場, Tokyo Midtown

平田牧場, Hirata Farm is a company that carries out everything from pig breed development, piglet production, fattening, processing, distribution, and sales.

Hirata Farm in Tokyo Midtown is a restaurant where you can enjoy loin and tenderloin Cutlet (tonkatsu) made with pork raised in a healthy environment and fed good feed by this company.

A menu board placed in front of the restaurant.
Signature sets include Loin, Tenderloin, or a combo of both with your choice of Kinka or Sangen pork.

Kinka pork is a pork derived from the 金華豚 pig, a rare and high-quality pig breed from China. It is a premium menu that is more expensive than Sangen Pork. Sangen Pork (三元豚) is a pig that is a crossbreed of three different breeds. It is more reasonably priced than Kinka Pork, but of course it is delicious.

In the center of the restaurant there is a long table with a partition that can seat about 10 people, and there are four-person tables along the wall.

My friend and I were shown to a table for four.

The set meal includes rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage, and pickled vegetables. Rice, miso soup, and cabbage can be refilled for free. The miso soup can be changed to tonjiru (pork miso soup) for an additional 200 yen.

There is a set of loin, tenderloin, and mixed cutlet using kinka port or Sangen pork, and there are also several side menus and drink.

There is Hirata Farm’s Original Pork Cutlet Sauce, spicy miso galrlic sauce for dipping the cutlets, and there is roasted seasame dressing, Japanese-style ground onion dressing for cabbage salad. Olive oil, soy sauce, seaweed salt, etc. are also provided.

My friend and I both ordered the Kinka Pork Tonkatsu Combo Set. A menu where you can taste both loin and tenderloin.

2,400yen, Loin 100g & Tenderloin 50g

The thick loin, perfectly fried and crispy, is rich and juicy. The tenderloin slices were also soft and tasty.

Japanese pork cutlet is one of my friend’s favorite food menus. Without any regrets, I also ordered a piece of kinka pork croquette. 450 yen
